“Tattooer by Trade

Wannabe Artist at Heart”

In the long story short, simplest form, that pretty much sums me up.

From the very beginning I knew all along I wanted to be an “artist.” I wanted to do something with art. Anyone I met, trusted, and loved, the first thing I’d tell them was I wanted to be an artist. I felt it in the very depths of my heart, soul, and being since I could remember. I love art. Call it cliche but I knew it’s what I wanted to do and be. I just wasn’t sure how or in what way I could be an artist.

Artist; never once did I realize what that singular word would entail. Artist is such a broad term, but also purest in its meaning. Creator, maker, technician, purveyor, craftsman, philosopher, etc. all forms of art in their own right.

My journey with tattooing came simply by sheer luck; I was in the right place, right time. It started with me simply painting a mural for a friend. From that point, everything fell into place. I was offered an opportunity, I took a leap of faith and here I am, 24 years later, Tattooer by Trade.

I began tattooing in 2001 in El Paso, Texas. From there the journey began! I’ve traveled to and worked in cities such as Phoenix, AZ, and San Diego, CA with the utmost intention to expand my knowledge of tattooing and grow as an artist. While still traveling for guest spots and conventions, I’m currently working back in my hometown, El Paso, Texas, at West Texas Tattoo.

My tattoo imagery is highly based on movement, flow, and aesthetics to fit the body. Culturally inspired by imagery such as Japanese woodblock prints and Meso-American art and sculpture. My style is a mixture of that imagery with my own personally dark obscure and ominous ideas, which brings a life of its own to much of my tattoo work and artistry.

With a passion for creativity and attention to detail, aesthetics and tattoos that hold up and last, my mission is to bring your unique vision to life. I specialize in large scale, more elaborate pieces, from sleeves, back pieces to the ultimate goal of body suits, but if you're seeking a small and intricate design, I am thoroughly committed to delivering stunning, personalized tattoos that exceed your expectations, no matter what size the tattoo ultimately is.

If you’ve managed to read my ramblings this far I appreciate you and hope to see you soon for that new tattoo!
